For those who want to know a little bit about me, here's a quick look at the many experiences that helped shape the person of Ron Miller:

I'm a native Oregonian--born in Woodburn.  I graduated from high school in Salem and attended Oregon State University for 2 years--before enlisting in the Navy in 1968 and marrying my wife (Jane) in 1969.  After 4 years in the Navy--and 3 tours of Viet Nam--I returned to OSU to finish my education...graduating in 1974 with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Psychology.

Our son (Doug) was born on the day of my last final exam--just as I was getting ready to start a 25 year career in management with JCPenney.  During that time, Jane and I also had 2 girls--Kristi (born in Elko, Nevada in 1978) and Angela (born in Kirkland, Washington in 1982).  All 3 of our kids are graduates of WSU...and the joys of my life.  We also have 3 beautiful granddaughters--2 from Doug and his wife and 1 from Kristi and her husband.

For recreation...I enjoy golf--when I take time to slow down--camping with my kids, trips to Disneyland or Maui and weekend getaways to Cannon Beach.

In my 25 years with JCPenney, I was moved almost every 2-4 years--which means I've purchased and sold a lot of homes.  Since I often  had to be at my new store quickly, I also learned the importance of several lessons when buying and selling a home.  First...buy in an area that is likely to inflate in value--so we could afford to move to our next home.  Second...make sure that our home was staged and ready for sale--so it stood out favorably when compared to other homes.  And third...make sure it's priced right--so it sold quickly.  My years of marketing experience with JCPenney were also invaluable in maximizing the exposure of our homes to the buying public.

I also learned another valuable lesson during those 25 years--based on James Cash Penney's philosophy of doing business.  His first store was called "The Golden Rule" ...and that's how he built a reputation for treating others as he would wish to be treated.  I still believe in that principle today.

Since becoming a Realtor--after my retirement from retail--I've been committed to providing service that exceeds my client's expectations.  I take pride in a job well done...and do the lion's share of my business by referrals from clients who have also become friends.  I continually take classes to improve the level of service that I provide...and I try to stay current on technology that helps me meet the fast response time needed in today's real estate market.

In addition to consistently earning the John L. Scott President's Award, I've also been frequently recognized in Seattle Magazine for the "Best in Client Satisfaction Award" and have achieved real estate's ABR designation--Accredited Buyer's Representative.  I'm currently taking classes to achieve my GRI designation--one of real estate's highest levels of training and recognition.

Hopefully, this tells you a little bit about me.  In addition to having a lot of "real time" experience buying and selling homes, I have a multitude of tools that can help you make an informed decision.

I'm also Committed to earning your trust...
